Reading the Dictionary

I try to rearrange the sentence
but the words stay the same
and i can always take letters away
but i can't add new ones in.
The meaning doesn't differ
the words stay the same.
No matter whose lips they come from
or the time and place,
how many times i hear them
the words stay the same.

bobble

As i float along on my lake of pink
i allow myself a moment to blink
think of the times before whats happening now
and hope the tide doesn't let me sink

waves lap my hair water fills my ears
i drift along bobbing for years
i feel it getting deeper this collection i keep
to myself in this ocean thats no longer clear

an oar or boat of something kind
will fish me from the water not leave me behind
take me somewhere i know that is safe
but past experience will show me i'm blind

i'm keen to know what land has in store
i am eager with desire and yearn to know more
but still i float in my lake of pink
floating floating never returning to shore.

Cycle
Such a cycle
Absolute nuts and bolts
hold the frame of a cycle.
Wont fall apart but crash it into a wall
and the cycle,
poor bicycle.
Proper cycle
You are proper cycle
a proper cycle path.
Ticking away clicking gears
helmet off wind in your hair
always the cycle
never the bike.

A POEM ABOUT HANNAH

Toast Number Two

I cannot sleep
because of conversations in my head
and i can't get comfortable
because of the shadows in my bed
and thinking of before
just fills my stomach with dread
things come from nothing
toast comes from bread

algo diferente

I hope you think about my tan lines
and the freckles you'll never find
and how the wind will tangle
and the sea will matte my hair
how i will sink into the sand
and the places it will stick too
I hope you can smell my suncream
as it soaks in but
how the sun will blister my skin anyway
and crave aloe to soothe it
i hope you long to taste my red wine lips
and that you wish thats yours
were as stained and as sweet.

Dog in a Fort

It's getting quite tiring
waiting to listen but
not hearing
i gave up waiting
but i'm still in the room
i reached out but
was ignored
so i sit in my chair
and resume thinking
about books and more books
all the while
wondering.
